The name

Why “MzansiCraft”?

Mzansi comes from the isiXhosa uMzantsi — “the south”. It is what South Africans call home, and it carries something a formal name cannot: familiarity, pride, and the sense that you are dealing with your own people.

Craft is the other half of the promise. Warmth is not enough on its own — the work has to be made with care: fast, secure, accessible, and built to hold up years after launch.

Put them together and you have the brief we give ourselves on every project: local at heart, serious about the craft.

Who you deal with

Founder-led, start to finish.

No account manager relaying messages to a developer you never meet. The person who quotes your project is the person who builds it.

Omphile Malepe

Founder & Web Developer

Omphile designs and builds every MzansiCraft project personally — from the first conversation about what your business actually needs, through the design and the code, to the day the domain goes live.

What we stand on

Four things we will not compromise.

Plain language

No jargon used to sound impressive or hide a weak answer. If you cannot explain it simply, you do not understand it.

Ubuntu

“I am because we are.” Your business doing well is the whole point of the work — not a line item on an invoice.

Fair pricing

Fixed prices published openly on this site. No inflated quotes, no charges that appear only once you are committed.

No lock-in

Your domain, your content, your logins. If you ever want to move on, you take everything with you.

How we work

Small studio. Deliberately.

We take on a limited number of builds at a time. That is not a sales line — it is why replies come back the same day and why your project does not sit in a queue behind fifty others.

It also means we are honest about fit. If your project needs something we are not the right studio for, we will tell you that on the first call instead of taking the deposit.

01

We ask about the business first

Before a single colour is chosen, we want to know who your customers are and what should happen when they land on the page.

02

You see it early, on your own phone

A live preview link goes out well before launch — so feedback happens while changes are still easy.

03

Nothing goes live half-done

Links checked, forms tested, speed measured, spelling read twice. Launch day should be boring.

04

We are still here afterwards

Questions six months later still get answered. That is the part most people only value once they have been ghosted.

Where we work

All nine provinces, one WhatsApp away.

MzansiCraft works remotely, so your location changes nothing about the price or the result. Everything runs over WhatsApp, email and video calls — from Musina to Mossel Bay.

Let’s talk about your business.

No pressure and no sales script — just a straight conversation about what a website could realistically do for you, and what it would cost.
